- Welcome to my photography blog! I am passionate Birder, Bird Photographer, Bird Ringer and Ecologist. I have been a Freelance Bird Photographer, Wildlife Tour Leader and Ecologist since 2005, before that, I was Assistant Warden on Fair Isle, Shetland for 2 years. I am now based in Lerwick, Shetland with Captain Phil Harris who I met on Fair Isle in 2003. My preferred choice of camera equipment is NIKON. I have a Nikon D3s, 200-400mm VR and a 300mm VR 2.8mm . . .my dream lens!I am also on the Shetland Bird Club committee as well as Treasurer & Membership Secretary. We run SHETLAND SEABIRD TOURS Ltd. Twice daily wildlife and photography trips to NOSS NNR & Bressay from Victoria Pier, Lerwick in our 9 seater rib cruiser.
